But, why should we Wonder since we have a God who is Wonderful!

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, [10] Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Right now there are 9 million Jews living in their ancient land,
which was promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In Matthew 12 the Children of
Israel rejected their Messiah, Jesus Christ, and subsequently the establishment
of the Kingdom (II SAMUEL 7:16) had been postponed to a future date (Matthew 23:38-39).
In A.D. 70 the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple and chased all remaining living Jews out of the land. This was the beginning of a 2000 year long DIASPORA. Jews
then were living in most regions of the world and attempted to make a living among the various different cultures of the world. Often they became subjects of intense persecution an example of which was the Holocaust under Adolph Hitler when over 6 million Jews were murdered and killed by the NAZI regime.
But, in 1917 something happened that changed the course of history. Lord Belfour of England signed the Belfour declaration returning full ownership of Palestine to the Jewish People. However, it was not until 1948, after the end of WWII that the Sovereign State of Israel was established and Jews began their homeward journey to reocupy their Promised Land. President Truman recognized the establishment of Zionist Sovereignty and David Ben Gurion became the first Prime Minister.
Never before in the course of recorded history has there been a people group, who after such a prolonged period of time of dispersion among a variety of divergent cultures of the world, returned to their native land and in a short period of time reestablished their own
oroginal Jewish culture of language, customs, and religion.
Today, this small county, which is about the size of New Jersey, has a Gross Domestic Product that exceeds those of any of their Arab neighbors. Israel is the only Democracy in the middle of radically
islamisized nations which surround her. She is the leader in Technology, Agriculture, and Military technology. Israel is the main exporter of water conservation technology to her Arab neighbors, who live in arid desert lands.
In 1867 Mark Twain visited this piece of real estate and issued the following summary statement about this land. He said it was a
"hopeless, dreary, heart broken land."
Today there are green, fertile and lush vinyards and field all throughout
the land.
Since her establishment Israel was victorious in three major wars which were initiated by her hostile Arab neighbors. These were the wars in 1948, 1967 and 1973.

The Lord God has foretold that Israel would be scattered throughout all the world due to her disobedience
(Deuteronomy 30:3-5), but in due time in the latter days He would bring her back into her own land
(Isaiah 43:5-6).
How can anyone, who seriously studies the history of Israel deny that God is in control;
that he keeps his promises, that he is Sovereign over all nations. And, THAT THE BIBLE IS GOD'S WORD.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121:4)
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. (Psalm 122:6)
I will bless them that bless you, and I will curse them that curseth you. (Genesis 12:3)
Prayer for Israel

With all the external and internal turmoil going on in Israel how can there be such silence in the Christian community? Do we really believe that Israel is still the "Apple of His Eye?" (Zechariah 2:8). Do we accept the exhortation in Psalm 122:6???
"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee."
The silence regarding God's chosen Nation is deafening. God has NOT forgotten the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Why are Christians seemingly ignoring what is transpiring 7000 miles away.
Please remember the Lord said "I will bless them that bless thee."
YHWH is working in that land right now and bringing more Israelis back into their promised land. Remember what God said through the prophet Jeremiah 31:36-37.
"If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. [37] Thus saith the Lord ; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord."
These verses plus many others emphasize the "Permanence of the Israeli Nation." One of these days in the near future God will draw them to Himself, give them a NEW HEART, and they will acknowledge that Jesus Christ is their Messiah.

External and Internal Problems

Please pray for Israel. God is sovereign and in full control, therefore we shall not fear but rather trust in Him. But, He also commands us to pray for the Children of Israel.
The current situation in Israel has been described by a Jewish believer in Jesus Christ as being more precarious than the situation during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
There are looming external dangers.
Iran's shipments of weapons to their Proxys, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Houthi are increasing weekly. The number of Iran's Revolutionary Guard in Lebanon / Syria are increasing exponentially. Iran is weeks away from having a complete nuclear bomb with 84% enriched Uranium, and they have the rockets for the delivery system.
Russia, Iran, China and Turkey are aligned in weapons deals with each other. Russia has 500 combat ready fighter jets in Libya, and thousands of military troops. The Anti- Semitism among these nations is growing steadily. As the World knows, Iran wants to wipe Israel off the map.
Internally, Israel is being torn apart.
The recently
legally elected government initiated judicial reform to reduce judicial activism. Liberal opposition to this initiative has caused major disruption to all public and private sectors in Israel. Most staggering is the declaration among several hundred elitist reserve fighter pilots that they will not report for duty unless the judicial reform initiative is reversed.
Israel is in a weakened position right now, and her enemies understand her vulnerability at this time. Will the Iranian
/ Russian led attack on Israel happen soon? She cannot rely on American assistance anymore because the Biden Administration is not a supporter of the conservative policies Netanyahu is trying to implement.
The alignment of Israel's enemies mirrors that what has been described by the prophet Ezekiel 2600 years ago as the Gog and Magog war in Ezekiel chapter 38.
We must pray. We must pray. We must pray.
